Why was Mokoi Gaming created?
When the project started in 2006, if you wanted to create a 'platform neutral' games you would have to use a more generalize virtual machine like Java or Flash. Neither of these match the 'simple, flexible and open' goals.

How do Mokoi Games work?
Games are made up of Maps, Entities and Display Objects. Maps controls which entities run, and they control dynamic Display Objects. These run in a managed loop, unlike most game creation tools.
